Avast ye, mateys! A pirate ship has been spotted off the shores of Hong Kong, headed in the direction of a certain theme park...
PRESS RELEASE (April 12, 2007) The sun shone bright over the glimmering Victoria Harbor today as a pirate ship complete with a sail bearing a Jolly Mickey emerged from the distance.
According to witnesses lining the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, the sound of loud singing and undecipherable “pirate talk” overtook the waters as the ship sailed through the Harbor.
The first sightings were reported at approximately 9:15am, with the ship described to be carrying a large group of loud and craggy looking pirates led by a dominant and particularly bad-mannered male.
Hoist the Jolly Mickey!
The ship’s captain has been described as approximately 35 years old with long brown hair, alluring brown eyes, and wearing tatty clothing. His drunken movements are big and loud, drawing a lot of attention from the waterfront. With reports that the captain was spotted on the ship’s bow holding a compass which only points in one direction shouting “drinks all around”.
The ship was last seen traveling at a swift pace in the direction of Lantau Island, leading investigators to believe the pirates may have set sights on Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
There goes the neighbourhood
If this is indeed the pirates’ intention, then there is no doubt that this pirate crew is set to take over Adventureland this afternoon in an unprecedented ceremony that will most certainly include the presence of Mr. Bill Ernest, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
Stay tuned for further pirate updates...
