You can look, but you can't touch. Or can you...?

Mickey's PhilharMagic sees Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney Animation combine in a way that you've never seen before. Unless you've been to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, of course, where you will have seen exactly the same attraction. However, this is the first time the attraction has appeared outside of Florida, making this a real treat for visitors to Hong Kong Disneyland.

Mickey's Philharmagic is a 12-minute 3D 'experience'. Using a specially designed pair of 3D glasses, audiences sit in front of a giant screen and watch their favourite characters come to life - and jump off the screen! In the grand tradition of Disney musicals and masterpieces such as Fantasia, Mickey's PhilharMagic combines music and animation in a way that only Disney can. In some circles, this type of features is descibed as a "4D feature", with interactive smells and water increasing the level of realism in the attraction.

Featuring the world's largest wraparound screen - over 150 feet long and 28 feet high - the view is good no matter where you sit in the theatre. You'll want to reach out and touch the characters, as they seem that real. Go on, try it. You probably won't feel anything, but you probably won't be alone in looking like a fool and groping about in the dark.

For fans of Disney animation and films, Mickey's PhilharMagic is a special treat indeed. The show gathers together many characters from different Disney productions - such as Donald Duck, Ariel and Lumiere - for the first time in 3D. Original animators Nik Ranieri and Glen Keane, who worked on Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid respectively, have returned to give their 2D art a 3D tweak.
